Had a bunch of delays and plans kept changing, which was already Frustrating. When I filed the claim, it felt slow, and in the end not much was actually covered. I Expected better.

"Absolutely good value for what you get"
I got my travel insurance through Tick because it was definitely cheaper than a few others I looked at, no question. For the price, the cover seemed really solid, and the website was easy to use from start to finish.
The only thing I’d say is that some of the policy wording took me a minute to get my head around, but that’s standard with insurance stuff. Overall, for the money, I’m 100% sure it was good value.

The claim took a little bit of back and forth, a little bit, but they did end up handling it fairly. It wasn’t perfect, not perfect, but overall I’m happy enough with how it turned out.

"A bit clunky for asthma cover"
I had to call up about my asthma because the online form wasn’t really clear enough. To be fair, they did explain what was covered and what wasn’t, but it took a fair bit of back and forth and I was left waiting around longer than I expected. It wasn’t awful, but for something like a pre-existing condition, the process felt more confusing than it needed to be. i would’ve expected at least a proper apology for the hassle.

My baggage claim did get sorted in the end, so I’m glad about that, but it definitely took longer than I expected. The updates were a bit slow too, which was frustrating while I was waiting around. Compared to some other airlines I’ve dealt with, the communication could be better, but at least they followed through and got it resolved.

Getting the cover was straightforward and the price seemed reasonable, so no complaints there. The problem was when it came time for the payout. I had to keep chasing them, and the replies felt like copy-paste support messages half the time, with different answers depending on who responded. It did get sorted eventually, but it took longer than I expected and was stressful. Not the worst experience ever, but I wouldn’t rely on it being quick if you need the money back fast.

Am I the only one who found it cheaper somewhere else after buying? I was a bit disappointed, honestly. The product is fine, but seeing a lower price elsewhere made me feel like I didn’t get the best deal.

"Coverage was way too limited for me"
I got frustrated with this policy. I expected basic travel insurance to cover a lot more, but every time I checked the details, something was either missing or buried under a bunch of conditions. It started to feel like the price only looked good because the coverage was so narrow. I didn’t want to waste any more time trying to make it work, and in the end I just didn’t feel confident using it

Renewing was simple and I managed to extend my policy without too much hassle. The website was alright to use, though a couple of parts weren’t super clear and I had to double-check the dates. It’s not bad overall, but it could definitely be a bit smoother. Still, it does the job.

"Didn’t feel confident enough to go with them"
I checked out Tick Insurance while sorting my trip cover, but it just didn’t sit right with me. Some of the basic info I wanted wasn’t easy to verify, and I felt like I had to dig around way too much just to feel comfortable. I also had that worry of being charged and then not getting clear updates if something went wrong, which isn’t what I want when travel money is involved. Maybe other people have had a smoother experience, but for me insurance comes down to trust, and I didn’t really get that feeling here

"Maybe it’s just me, but the website was frustrating"
I was trying to buy travel insurance on my phone and maybe it’s just me, but the website felt clunky. A few pages took longer than expected to load, and at one point I had to enter my details again, which was annoying. I did manage to finish in the end, but the whole process definitely could’ve been smoother.
